If you are like me, can’t wake up in the morning without a cup of coffee, well good news for you! We can now have a fat burning coffee named Bullet Proof Coffee! YES! It is delicious, it gives us more antioxidant, it helps us burn the bad fat around our bellies, and it is so easy to make. I will name it Brian’s coffee because of my son, Brian gave me this delicious recipe. Just so you know, Brian is a water polo player, and he is training on body building. Believe me, his abs show that what he tries works.
Anyway, here is the Bullet Proof Coffee recipe for all of you:
- 1 Cup of brewed coffee (organic if possible)
- 1 to 3 tbsp unrefined coconut oil
- 1 tbsp grass fed unsalted butter
- Vanilla flavoring
Mix everything in your blender or Nutri bullet, drink and enjoy!
It is very creamy and delicious. Some take this as their breakfast, but don’t believe me, follow your needs.
Why is Bullet Proof Coffe Good?
By adding butter into your coffee, you are having 3.4 times more antioxidants vs using milk. Milk reduces the antioxidants (catechins) found in coffee because the milk protein binds to the catechins and this makes the antioxidants in coffee unable to digest. Chocolate, green tea, and berries are high in catechin antioxidants as well!
The droplets of butter fat called micelles make the fat more digestible, this is a function of the bile to help digest fat. So by not only are we boosting our coffee antioxidants intake but also helping our bile process fat better. Isn’t that great?
